ReMaxi

Residential

2026

Sofia

This is a compact residential–holiday module with a total area of 60 sq.m.
ReMaxi features a metal structural frame and can be executed either with a concrete foundation or with ground screws, making it a fully demountable structure.

The module’s skeleton is delivered in separate blocks and can be assembled within a single day—either by construction workers or, with clear instructions, even by capable DIY users.

ReMaxi is designed to operate with a 15 kW solar system, including two concealed batteries integrated into the suspended ceiling in front of the bathroom.
Insulation will be achieved using composite straw panels made entirely from natural materials. These panels offer superior thermal performance compared to conventional insulation systems and can also function as interior wall panels, replacing standard drywall solutions.

The façade will be finished in fiber cement panels with a cement or stone-textured relief, while the front elevation will feature decorative wooden frames made of CNC-milled HPL panels. These elements will discreetly conceal the outdoor units of the air-conditioning system.

ReMaxi will be equipped with a modern electrical system based on RF-controlled lighting, utilizing kinetic switches and circuit breakers with encrypted communication and open-source architecture. This system reduces wiring by approximately one third and enables remote control and full system monitoring.

Rainwater from the roof is collected and directed into an external tank, with the option to reuse it for the site’s irrigation system.

ReMaxi includes two bedrooms, a bathroom with the option to install a bathtub, and an open-plan living area with kitchen.

Its smaller sibling, ReMini, will have a footprint of just 35 sq.m. and feature one bedroom, while offering an easier approval process due to certain regulatory thresholds within the Spatial Development Act.

Yes, architecture should not be generic—it must respond to the individual needs of each person. Nevertheless, ReMaxi and ReMini will soon have their own online platform, allowing users to specify individual elements and place orders directly.

This project took considerable time to refine into its final concept, with many ideas generated in close collaboration with the investor, as we sought the most functional and well-resolved solution down to the smallest detail.

Very soon, I will also be presenting the online platform for both modules.
