Apartment RPS

Interior Design
2022
The use of recycled materials and technologies supporting the efficient use of natural resources is not the only way we can contribute to the protection of the environment. A main goal in the RPS project was to bring some of the client's previous furniture, breathing new life into it and at the same time blending it harmoniously into a modern vision. Contrasting colored fabrics and materials were also a priority when developing the project. In order to make better use of the area of the apartment, we made changes to the original layout by expanding the master bedroom, moving its entrance from the side of the living room and adding a closet in front of the bathroom. This also allowed us to add another wide wardrobe in the hall. We added a functional island to the kitchen where we moved the sink and added a wine cooler and wine rack. Another specific moment of the distribution was one of the children's rooms, which will be inhabited by two teenage girls. It was necessary to envisage two separate beds with a separate place for work, and for a more pronounced visual separation we built a bookcase, the slits of which we adjusted so as to let enough light into the interior of the room. Artificial light was a very important element of the whole project. In the living room and bedrooms, it is possible to combine different types of lighting fixtures, and in the bathrooms and the corridor, motion sensors are provided, which do not allow the lighting to be turned on for longer than necessary. All faucets and toilets in the bathrooms have built-in water-saving technologies, which contributes to the efficient use of natural resources that we strive for.
